Unlike other recap episodes, or compilation episodes, "The Ember Island Players" did not stem due to production constraints or scheduling problems. Throughout the segment, the crew observe a theatrical performance based on their exploits at a playhouse located on Ember Island, named The Boy in the Iceberg. It works because it plays with the heroes' understanding regarding their own identities, juxtaposing them compared to how society (and notably the Fire Nation citizens) perceives them. It has an ideal level of meta-commentary, and it ends up perhaps the finest interpretation of Avatar we have had. This specific card sells between $20 and $40 through card retailers at the time of writing, and at $29.99 you can obtain the complete collection, or alternatively $39.99 for the foil version. Magic's Avatar: The Last Airbender set will be available for pre-release events beginning November 14 and releases worldwide on November 21.
