In a surprising partnership that challenges conventional forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Revealed

According to the official statement, "An unusual confrontation leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where whispers of prohibited ceremonies and fearsome metamorphoses reverberate through the darkness." The plot features a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a clandestine group.

The adventure centers on "bizarre experiments and a monstrous foe" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Places and Transformations

The trailer showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser ends with a powerful scene showing a character, likely the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Prizes and Additional Content

Players who finish the quest will acquire an exclusive katana in addition to multiple artifacts hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

Third Free Story Update

This update also brings the game's latest complimentary story content, titled "The Mystery." Loyal to its name, "A Puzzlement" also contains a fresh environmental puzzle that may eventually clarify some unanswered questions from the main storyline.
