The Grave Charges The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham is accused of dozens of sexual offences – some of which involve some against minors under the age of thirteen – spanning the period from 2017 to 2021. A deputy chief CPS official commented, “Legal teams have worked at length to assist a thorough and intricate police inquiry, meticulously examining the evidence to determine that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.” Scope of the Police Inquiry These allegations come after what police called a “complex investigation” into reported assaults at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley. Spencer is due to appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on 20 January. List of Charges The charging documents outline the 45 sexual offences he is charged with: 15 counts of assault. Seventeen counts of penetrative assault. 9 counts of assault on a minor under thirteen. 3 counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration. 1 count of attempting to assault by penetration.
