Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Dies in a California Car Crash

The co-creator of Call of Duty, renowned for co-creating the immensely successful video game Call of Duty, has died in a traffic collision in California aged 55.

Zampella's death was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the video game company which he helped establish.

The celebrated industry figure lost his life when his automobile collided and burst into flames on a motorway in Los Angeles on this past Sunday, according to.

"This is a heartbreaking loss, and our deepest sympathies go to Vince's family, his loved ones, and all those touched by his creative vision," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts stated.
